A large group of Central Americans, including 176 children were arrested after crossing the border Wednesday of last week. The groups dead set on making it across into the U.S. dug under steel barriers in seven different spots along a ten-mile border area.

The Southwest Arizona border has become a major corridor for illegal crossing since 2000, which prompted the government to erect steel plates along that area of the border to stop vehicle traffic, unfortunately, not foot traffic.

Border Patrol spokesman Jose Garibay III told the AP: “The group used multiple holes in an apparent effort to get everyone across the border quickly.”
