Democrats are targeting Republicans in states devastated by mass shootings with the hopes of bullying them into supporting more gun control. First two Republicans up on the chopping block are Sen. Pat Toomey of Pennsylvania and Sen. Marco Rubio of Florida.

Sen. Pat Toomey was still in office and represents Pittsburgh, PA where a deranged anti-Semitic killer stormed into a synagogue with an AR-15 last month shouting hate for Jews and killed 11 people, he’s since been charged with 11 counts of criminal homicide and 6 counts of aggravated assault and 13 counts of ethnic intimidation.

Toomey makes an easy target for Democrats, he is known for supporting tougher gun control laws and has introduced bipartisan anti-gun legislation multiple times. In 2012 after the Sandy Hook shooting, Toomey co-sponsored a Universal Background Check bill with Democrat Sen. Joe Manchin of West Virginia that would have closed the “gun show loophole”.

Marco Rubio, an NRA supporter has a bigger target on his back because of his affiliations with the NRA. Rubio was called every name in the book by the Stoneman Douglas shooting survivors and was pressured into supporting more gun laws, but Rubio stood his ground and never backed down.

On February 14, 2018, a madman with a gun opened fire at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School killing 17 students and staff members and injured 17 others. He was since charged with 17 counts of premeditated murder and 17 counts of attempted murder.

Sources for the Daily News said that now the Democrats have reclaimed the House, more gun control bills will breeze through the lower chamber. However, with Republicans in control of the Senate, Dems will need 60 votes to get any anti-gun bills up to the President.

Sources say the Democrats will be working overtime to lobby Republican into supporting more gun control laws in the coming new year.
