Failed home invasion caught on camera (VIDEO)

The Alamogordo Police Department is asking for the public’s help identifying four suspects who participated in a failed home invasion in New Mexico Thursday night.

The attempt, which was captured on surveillance video, happened around 9 p.m.

A girl could be seen walking up and knocking on the front door. A short time later, someone opens the door for the girl, who steps away as three armed accomplices rush the front door.

The resident managed to close the screen door, but the suspects, all of whom were armed with guns, simply forced it open. However, within seconds of opening the door, all of the suspects quickly fled the scene.

Police did not indicate what startled the suspects and caused them to flee.

Anyone with information on the suspects is asked to contact the Alamogordo Police Department or Crime Stoppers at (575) 434-7812. Callers can remain completely anonymous.
