More Stringent Gun Laws go Into Effect in California January 1st, 2019

Even more stringent gun laws coming to California January 1st.

Starting January 1st, the Democratic-controlled legislature will be adding even more burdensome gun laws to their already stringent roster of laws.

  1. Anyone convicted of a misdemeanor domestic violence charge will permanently lose their gun rights.
  2. Anyone hospitalized more than once in a year for a mental health diagnosis, will also lose their gun rights permanently.
  3. Persons under 21 will be barred from purchasing rifles or shotguns, with the exemption of law enforcement, military and valid hunting license holders.

Well, it’s true. Elections have consequences. The blue wave that took over California will leave gun owners feeling a burn come 2019.

Not only will gun owners be affected by this Democratic supermajority, so will the average citizen. A plastic straw ban and new sanctuary city policies are also coming in January of next year.
