Nathaniel Rateliff And Other Celebrities Fall Victim To Misinformation

When you tell a lie often and long enough, it starts to become the truth, especially if it goes unchallenged.

Take Moms Demand Action (MDA) for instance. If you follow their Facebook page or any of their five websites you’ll see them boasting of 18 mass shootings, what every month?

Vox, not one to be left out of controversy, also published an article “There have been 263 days in 2018 — and 262 mass shootings in America.”

Furthermore MDA would have us believe arming teachers in schools would be the most dangerous thing we could ever do to protect our kids, however studies show there haven’t been any problems with the teachers at any of the schools where they are armed.

Moreover it makes the truth even more difficult to acquire when the mainstream media avoids doing investigative journalism, but rather turn to MDA’s websites and use what they report verbatim.

This is where celebrities fall victim to the lies. We know celebrities usually live a very hectic life, therefore we do not expect them to be themselves investigative journalist debunking every lie told by the mainstream media.

If the mainstream media uses MDA for their truth gathering, and celebrities follow the mainstream media for their information, then there could only be one outcome. This is one of many reasons celebrities are now clamoring for gun control.

Nathaniel Rateliff, singer and songwriter is now joining an ever-growing group of gun control activist.

“These students are what courage looks like,” says Rateliff in a statement.

“We are proud to support them in their efforts to ensure that our schools and neighborhoods are free from gun violence. We are partnering with incredible local and national nonprofit partners who have dedicated their lives to eradicating gun violence through civic engagement. We believe that we can find common ground on this issue and keep our children safe. When we see the youth of the world wanting to make change happen, we as their elders need to respond in the correct way and listen. So it is our responsibility to try to learn and to try to create community amongst each other. We need to understand each other better as individuals and as people and other cultures, and continue to make a global community that we can build upon and continue to have something for our children and our children’s children.”

So if MDA manipulates the media into spreading false information, how do gun-rights activist combat this? Gun-owners have to come out of the closet and mingle more and challenge every lie, whether in person or on social media gun-owners have to do more.
