Resident And Suspect Both Shot During Attempted Home Invasion

A resident and a suspected home intruder were both shot during an attempted home invasion on Indianapolis’ south side, according to police.

The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department Officers were called to the area of East Hanna Avenue for a reported shooting just before 5 p.m. Monday.

When they arrived, they found two people suffering from gunshot wounds. Both were taken to the hospital. Their conditions and identity have not been released.
