Security guard wrestles, shoots robbery suspect

A case of bad judgment was to play in this shooting, as in get a job.

This suspect picked the wrong gas station after he was shot by a security guard during an attempted robbery overnight.

According to the Houston Police Department, it happened just before 2 a.m. Tuesday at the Valero gas station located in the 8000 block of Lockwood in northeast Houston.

Surveillance video showed that the suspect came up from behind the security guard and attempted to take his gun and a struggle ensued.

The struggle carried the two men outside the front entrance of the gas station into the parking lot.

Then the employee went to aid the security guard and struck the suspect in the head with a stick.

That is when the suspect tried to run and the guard shot the suspect in the leg.
