Sen. Dianne Feinstein Ambushed at her Office by Middle Schoolers Who Support AOC’s Climate Change Bill

Children have young impressionable minds and are easily influenced, teachers bear a big responsibility when it comes to molding and educating these young minds.

So, what does an 11-year-old know about climate change, global warming or whatever the new term being used today is? Well, only what their parents told them, or whatever their teachers indoctrinated them with.

The Sunrise Movement gathered up a group of 15 middle and high schoolers to pay an impromptu visit to Sen.Dianne Feinstein’s office and ask her to stand with their generation and support AOC and the Green New Deal. A deal that will end all carbon emissions in ten years.

The groups Sunrise Movement Bay Area are building an army, or so they say on their website, to stop climate change. The group is comprised of young children and adults working together to elect progressive Democrats who will advance their liberal agenda. The group has endorsed radical far left-wing candidates like Ilhan Omar – (D), Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez – (D), Rashida Tlaib – (D) and Andrew Gillum – (D) to name a few.

However, the impromptu visit didn’t go as planned, as Sunrise stated on their website and Facebook page: “Senator Dianne Feinstein reacted to children asking her to support the #GreenNewDeal resolution with smugness and disrespect.”

Sunrise went on to add: “The disappointing encounter was yet another reminder of why we need new, bolder leadership on climate. Sen. Feinstein was condescending, yes. But the real insult is the weak and inadequate resolution that Feinstein wrote that would condemn our generation to an unlivable climate.

If she wants to make it up to us, she needs to support the policy that our generation needs to survive.”

The students urged Feinstein to support the bill, but Feinstein stated the bill has no chance of passing a Republican-controlled chamber.

Feinstein, however, said she would support an alternative plan.

In the video, Sunrise leader Morissa Zuckerman said, “If this doesn’t get turned around in 10 years, you’re looking at the faces of the people who are going to be living with the consequences.”

“I’ve been doing this for 30 years. I know what I’m doing,” Feinstein said. “You come in here and you say it has to be my way or the highway. I don’t respond to that.”

If you took the time to read the Green New Deal, you would have realized it’s a joke at best and a disaster at worse.

WHAT IS THE GREEN NEW DEAL?

The Green New Deal is a 10-year plan introduced by Rep. Ocasio-Cortez and Sen. Markey to mobilize every aspect of American society toward 100% clean and renewable energy, guarantee a good job to all members of our society, and create economic prosperity for all. The goals of the Green New Deal are:

to achieve net-zero greenhouse gas emissions through a fair and just transition for all communities and workers;

to create millions of good, high-wage jobs and ensure prosperity and economic security for all people of the United States;

to invest in the infrastructure and industry of the United States to sustainably meet the challenges of the 21st century;

to secure clean air and water, climate and community resiliency, healthy food, access to nature, and a sustainable environment for all people of the United States for generations to come; and

to promote justice and equity by stopping current, preventing future, and repairing historic oppression of indigenous peoples, communities of color, migrant communities, de-industrialized communities, depopulated rural communities, the poor, low-income workers, women, the elderly, the unhoused, people with disabilities, and youth.
