Photos of newly elected Congress Representatives, Rashida Tlaib and Ilhan Omar were posted to Twitter. In those selfies was a smiling Linda Sarsour on Thursday minutes before the two were sworn in.
Linda Sarsour, a well known and documented anti-Semitic and longtime supporter of Louis Farrakhan, also an anti-Semitic himself, stood for selfies with the two Democrats.
The Algemeiner reported that Sarsour shamed Muslims for not being more politically active and said that if Muslims are not promoting the Palestinian cause then they are part of the problem, saying, “you as an American Muslim are complicit in the occupation of Palestinians, in the murder of Palestinian protesters.”

After Courtney Love was informed on Twitter of Sarsour dealings with Farrakhan and her misleading the public in order to collect donations under false pretense, Love dropped out of the Women’s march. Love also tweeted that Sarsour was a “criminal” for “collecting funds on a made-up hate crime,”

Rashida Tlaib (D-MI) is the first Palestinian-American Muslim woman to be elected to serve in Congress. She also made history with her swearing-in, not only for being the first Palestinian, but for her comments. “We’re going to go in and impeach the motherfucker.”

Ilhan Omar (D-MN) also made history by being the first Muslim Congresswoman to wear a hijab in the House of Congress as rules changed to accommodate her religion.
