Victim shoots robbery suspect on Dayton street

Dayton Police are investigating after a potential robbery victim called 911 and said he shot the suspect.

It happened on James H. McGee Boulevard around 7:30 p.m. Wednesday.

The shooting victim, a 22-year-old man, was shot multiple times

The gunshot victim was found inside his car a short distance away, on Home Avenue near U.S. 35 and was taken to Miami Valley Hospital with injuries not considered life-threatening, the lieutenant said.
Police have not released any information about possible charges related to the shooting.
