Wisconsin: Senate Unanimously Passes Pro-Carry Legislation

Yesterday, the Wisconsin Senate unanimously passed CCW renewal reform legislation, Senate Bill 7, by a voice vote.  Tomorrow, the Wisconsin Assembly is scheduled to address SB 7 and its companion bill, Assembly Bill 28, tomorrow.  Please contact your Assembly member and urge them to support SB 7/ AB 28 when it comes up for a vote.

Both SB 7 and AB 28 would revise current CCW statutes to ensure that when a law-abiding CCW holder renews their license before it expires, the license is valid for five years from the expiration date of the license being renewed.  Currently, when a CCW holder renews their license before it expires, it becomes valid for five years from the date of issuance, rather than the expiration date of the license being renewed.

Again, please click the “Take Action” button above to contact your Assembly member in support of these important bills!
