Hayden Williams, a Leadership Institute field representative who helps conservative students organize events and recruit new members for their clubs was violently attacked at a UC-Berkeley student event.
The attack took place on February 19th during one of Williams events, he was repeatedly punched in the face and pushed by who police now identify as Zachary Greenberg. Some students are calling the attack a leftist attack on free speech.
In a statement, Williams said some Berkeley students took offense to a sign Turning Point USA had displayed at their recruitment table. The sign read, “Hate Crime Hoaxes Hurt Real Victims.”
Williams, who appeared on the Sean Hannity show said he absolutely has video evidence and eyewitnesses to prove he did not provoke the February attack.
The Turning Point table was approached by two men who Williams said reacted to a sign. But only one of the men turned irate and attack the group flipping their table, and the verbally and physically attacked Williams, that man we now know as Zachary Greenberg.
In the video below, we can see Zachary Greenberg pushing and then sucker punch Williams as hard as he can.
Zachary Greenberg arrest comes one week after the violent attack. The arrest records from the sheriff’s office say Greenberg was charged with assault with a deadly weapon and attempting to cause great bodily injury.

The attack sparked outrage on social media because of the double standards when it comes to attacks on conservatives. For the left, it’s ok to attack a conservative once you label them with Fascist, Racist or Nazi. Very seldom are attackers ever arrested or charged for attacks on conservatives.
Donald Trump Jr weighed in on the double standards in a Tweet back in February. “ Wonder if it would be the same if a conservative beat up a leftist on the Berkeley Campus?”
